Dress Patterns at Bobbin & Ink, Sydney

01-Feb-2018

Make Your Very Own Dress Patterns Using My Fitted Dress Block.

If you're in the Sydney area on Saturday 10 March, this pattern making workshop could be just the thing to start you off on your pattern making journey.  It's a full day (10-4.30) workshop where you'll learn all the basics to make a fitted dress pattern for woven fabrics.  You'll be using my fitted dress block, available in Sizes 6-16 and 12-22, and tracing the size closest to your personal fit.  If you'd like to check out the sizing of my blocks you'll find my Size Chart on the website.

One of the most important things you'll learn during this workshop is the magic of transferring darts to create fantastic design detail.  Also included is the detail required to design the neckline of your choice and make sure that it doesn't gape in your first dress toile.  And in the second half of the day I'll be showing you how to verify the fit of your sleeve in any dress pattern.

One of the most fantastic things about the Bobbin & Ink workspace is that everyone has plenty of room to work easily and spread their patterns out.  These workshops are always small so every student gets loads of individual attention throughout the day.  You're welcome to bring your own favourite pattern making tools but I'll be bringing plenty of pattern making rulers and equipment for you to try out on the day.  All the pattern making paper you'll need is supplied and every student goes home with a detailed workbook on Dress Patterns and extra design exercises for you to try at home.

Small Groups and Loads of Attention

If you think this may be the class for you click through to the Bobbin & Ink website to book your place.  If you have any questions feel free to contact Bobbin & Ink directly or email your questions through to me.
