Jersey Twist Patterns & The Vivienne Drape Dress

These workshops are a sweet half-day sample of the creative pattern making training I offer at Studio Faro.  They run for 1.00pm to 5.00pm and both workshops include a copy of the relevant garment block in six sizes and a fully detailed workbook that contains all the days training and step by step instructions for each of these unique patterns.  Click on any of the images or links in this news story to get more workshop detail and to be able to make your booking.  All workshops are limited to 6 students so you'll get lots of one-on-one time with me as you work your way through the pattern making process.  They are suitable for students that have a sewing background and are familiar with basic pattern alterations.

Creative Pattern Making

The Jersey Twist Pattern workshop utilises my Knit Block for stretch patterns, and you'll learn the secret to making both the single and double twist patterns for your own personal size.  You get take the A0 print of my knit block home with you as well as two completed patterns.  And if you find your way through the process easily there is an addition jersey twist dress design for you to try that includes a cowl neckline and A Line skirt.

The Vivienne Drape Dress workshop was developed by popular demand after it was featured as a Pattern Puzzle blog post in December, 2014.  You'll be using my fitted dress block to develop your own size pattern of this creative design.  And you get to take a copy of this dress block home with you as an A0 print in six sizes.

All specialist pattern making materials and equipment are supplied for the workshop and all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and any of your own favourite pattern making tools.  Contact me if you have any questions and checkout the blog posts to get a better idea of what you'll be doing on the day.
