WAGGA Gold Cup Sewing Classes

Starting Early with the Race Day Fashions

Who enjoys the races?  I haven't been for so many years but since moving to the Riverina I've discovered that the Wagga Gold Cup Races, held in early May, are quite an important local event.  Just this October I was looking at what everyone was wearing to the races and some of the fashions are amazing!  And although I'm not the biggest fan of over-the-top headwear I am pleased to see a new trend emerging for headbands and crowns.  So maybe this is the opportunity I need to return to the races and have a fashion-filled 'fun day out' next May.  And I hear the best idea is to start planning early for the carnival season.

To begin the design process you'll find my trend boards and trend forecast colours in my latest blog post: Race Day Fashions.  And I've already listed my sewing workshops, running from February to April, to get everyone ready for the track.

So if you feel that Race Day Fashions are your thing and you'd like some expert help planning, fitting and sewing your outfits I'll be running my class at Simply Stitches in Wagga, starting Saturday 3rd February, 2018.
