Materials and Equipment
This initial section of the training is to share with you my favourite materials and equipment for fashion illustration.
Drawing the Garment
The first stage of illustration is to learn to draw your garments onto the illustration body templates provided.
Market pens are one of my favourite methods of adding colour and texture to my fashion illustrations. They are not the only method, but they are quick and effective if you have any time constraints.
Achieving Texture and Print in your Fabrics.
Not everyone can afford all the marker pens we want. So I have a number of alternative methods for creating your fashion garments.
I will always use pastel pencils in preference to any other medium with my market pens.
Using fine liners and white pastel pencils to add the final accents to your illustration.
Head, Hands & Feet
In this section it's important ot understand that your fashion garment is the focus of your illustration. So we will be keeping faces, hands and feet simple so as not to distract from the main item.
