I suggest you start with my Knit Block, available here in a range of sizes.  Or you can use a favourite t-shirt pattern if you already have a good fit.  My Knit Block is not included in the worksheet and has to be purchased separately.

You’ll need some pattern making paper and the usual pattern making equipment.  Please remember that with the jersey twists the pattern you make is only suited to two-way (US four-way) stretch knits.
