If you love the kitchen and love your food and cooking, this apron will tick all the boxes for your creative food adventures. Based on a zero-waste pattern of my own drafting, this apron has a generous wrap around to almost join at the back so you can wipe your hands on it as you cook. It has a deep front pocket for your tea towel, oven mitt or hankie. And double length ties that wrap around the body and finish up in front with plenty of length. These design features mean this apron has extensive flexibility in sizing and more than adequate cover for all sizes.
I will be providing the pattern. All students need to bring is their sewing machine, suitable fabric, sewing kit and thread (list included in the download with booking). Every student will go home with a completed zero-waste apron and a full scale print of the apron pattern, plus a detailed set of sewing instructions for future use. I’d suggest that the fabrics best suited for this project are canvas based patchwork fabrics at 112-115cm wide.
Dress Code: Casual and comfortable with closed in toe shoes because we are keen to keep your toes safe. This is an introductory class that is suitable for students of all skill levels.
