Drape Tube Skirt – Sizes 6-22 (download)

The Drape Tube Skirt is a body-hugging style with drape tucks at the centre front and back, and a cowl drape in the centre back, close to the hemline. It is specifically designed to be cut in a ponti, double knit fabric with some elastane. It has no fastening or zip opening and can be pulled over the hip. So quick and easy to make and a delight to wear.
My PDF block and pattern downloads can be printed as A0 or 36” plotter print at your local print shop or as A4/letter at home. Please be sure when you go to the print shop or print at home that you select for printing at ‘actual size’ with ‘no scaling’, or at 100%. This will make sure your pattern is printed at the correct size.
Your download will include 2 PDF documents:
- The PDF of the pattern in the print size you have selected (A0, 36″ Plotter and A4/letter).
- A photo tutorial of sewing instructions (7 page PDF).

Description
The Drape Tube Skirt has to be one of the easiest skirts I have hanging in my wardrobe. So easy to wear and wash and never iron then to top it off the fit and shape of the skirt is forever flattering. This PDF has all sizes included (6-22) and some design alteration instructions included in the pattern. You’ll be able to moderate the amount of drape in the back of the skirt according to your own taste.

Skirt features:
This drape skirt is best cut in a double knit PONTI with an elastane content (lycra, spandex) for good recovery. The seam allowances are 1cm (⅜”) on the centre front and back seams with 0.7cm (¼”) on the waistline for the self bind and elastic.
It’s home and industry ready and based on my size chart. The pattern fitting is for body hugging garment with a negative ease of 5-10% depending on your fabric choice. When you check the measurements on the size you have selected you’re looking for your body measurements minus 4-10cm approx.
Where do I start:
The first order of business is to select your closest size and begin the process of fitting this skirt to your own measurements. The range of sizes on offer relates to my size chart. Cut your closest size in a similar fabric for first fittings and make any necessary adjustments for personal fit. Once you have achieved a good personal fit you will be ready to cut in your final fabric.
