Our fans made quick work of the #PatternPuzzle on Saturday morning. In the end, they realised that most of the design detail was on the back of this garment with the front remaining quite clean.

21 Jul The Apron Dress
The going was tough early Saturday morning with very few attempts at guessing the detail in the #PatternPuzzle. Julie Eilber came the closest when she suggested it may be pregnant manatee. Later in the day Em Pea Horgosi came to the rescue and provided all the answers.
14 Jul Drape Collar Extension
Saturday was fun with loads of great answers in our #PatternPuzzle. The final piece of the puzzle was the 'long pointy thing' that had nearly everyone stumped. The grown-on band collar is an extension of the front drape in this bias cut top.
07 Jul Shoulder Drape Tee
The Saturday #PatternPuzzles have featured many 'on-trend' fashion styles and this week is no exception. The shoulder drape featured is currently popular and turns up in many fashion collections. Our fans were excellent at spotting all the design detail and solving the puzzle.
23 Jun Flare and Gather Dress
A very clever bunch of #PatternPuzzlers were able to nail all the detail in this complex design on Saturday. The most baffling part of the pattern shape are the very deep tucks in the left shoulder. This draped style mixes straight and bias grains with tucks and gathering and an invisible zip in the left side seam.
16 Jun The Draped Peasant Dress
Last Saturdays #PatternPuzzle pays homage to Yohji Yamamoto’s SS 2002 collection. Fans made very light work of our pattern pieces and had the puzzle solved by lunchtime. Gloria Lucia Sandoval went to all the trouble of printing out the puzzle, cutting and assembling the tiny pieces to make sense of it for everyone. :)

This weeks #PatternPuzzle is a thing of genius from our regular contributor, Mioara Cretu, gifting us the most baffling #PatternPuzzle of all time last Saturday. You may remember her first contribution from last year, featured here. Mioara teaches pattern making at a Romanian university and has a weakness for jersey one-piece patterns!
And for all my fans, you've done a wonderful job this weekend finding the answers to such a challenging puzzle. Congratulations :)
19 May Pinstripe Panel Skirt
With some very clever spatial reasoning our fans we able to solve all the detail in Saturdays #PatternPuzzle. They were cutting up bits of paper and making impossibly small skirts into the wee hours to reveal all the answers. They make our Saturdays so much fun. :) This weeks #PatternPuzzle was inspired by one of those pins without a link to the source but I'm pretty sure it's a Donna Karan. I did leave off a bit of the frippery (small drape near the waist) as I prefer a cleaner style and there is already so much going on in this skirt. Pinstripe fabric is the driving force in this design, with the directional use making so much of the intricate panels. The Colour Map below will help make sense of all the pattern pieces and where they belong in the skirt.
12 May Cowl Drape Dress
Oh, good grief! was the first response to our Saturday morning #PatternPuzzle. However, by mid-afternoon all was solved and the sketch delivered. The Cowl Drape Dress features a wide, built-up neckline that leads to a folded cowl. The front dress panels are led out of the cap sleeve armhole and head toward the low waist area on the left side of the dress. Deep tucks are set into the skirt panel and meet the side body panel in a waterfall drape. The Back panels are also led out of the cap sleeve armhole and end just above the seat. There is a CB invisible zip from the neckline to the hip line.
05 May Waterfall Jersey Skirt
This weeks #PatternPuzzle was quickly solved by the fans on Saturday morning. Together they were able to provide all the important detail for this Waterfall Jersey Skirt.
